Early Life and Career
Steve Jobs was born on February 24, 1955, in San Francisco, California. He was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs, a machinist and a homemaker. Jobs showed an early interest in electronics and computers. In 1972, he dropped out of Reed College to pursue his passion.
In 1976, Jobs co-founded Apple Computer with Steve Wozniak. The company's first product, the Apple I, was a wooden box with a circuit board and a keyboard. It was a commercial success and helped to launch the personal computer revolution.
Apple and its Success
In 1977, Apple released the Apple II, which was even more successful than the Apple I. The Apple II had a color display and a wider range of capabilities, and it quickly became the best-selling personal computer in the world.
